“The Way—Our Way”
by Blue Mountains, Australian Supporters of the Camino—Peregrinos and Pelegrinos
Interested in walking the Camino de Santiago?
Already completed the Camino and missing the wonderful experience and Spirit of the Camino?
Join us for a Premiere evening of sharing the Camino at Glenella Blue Mountains in Blackheath to enjoy a Pilgrims meal and a fun social gathering.
This will be an evening where like-minded and interested people can meet up over an evening meal around a fire and enjoy all things Camino. There will be DVD slide shows to music, a display of Pictures, Maps, Photos, Mementos, Books and DVDs dis- played, a short discussion on the Camino Frances from a cyclist’s and then a walker’s point of view and time to share experi- ences and feelings.
We will discuss and plan whether we meet again, in what format, when, what we can add to it or take away, how we can pro- mote training for the walk based on Blackheath, what exciting resources are coming on line and how we can share the wonder- ful experiences and how we can possibly help others prepare for the own experience.
Glenella Blue Mountains is a heritage listed Guesthouse in Blackheath and is ideal for hosting the evening. Especially since the owners – Margaret & Rowan – cycled the 780 km Camino Frances in 2013. Your evening’s MC and wife—Tony and Ce— walked the Camino Frances in 2014 and will go again this year.
We will provide a roaring fire, a Pilgrim style meal on long communal tables with plenty of table wine and sparkling water – just like in a Pilgrim Albergue in Spain. We will also have a few enthusiasts sharing some of their experiences and inspiring and ad- vising those yet to travel the Way.
